Knightriders still pondering the fate of Shoib Akhtar

The Kolkata Knightriders have commented that the recent rumours of the release of the Rawalpindi Express were baseless. They are still having talks with the veteran Pakistani bowler and have not yet reached a final decision regarding his future. The comments followed earlier press releases which stated that KKR had paid Shoib all his dues and he was no longer a part of the team. Shoib however will not be available for this year's season following a travel ban issued by the Pakistani Government for all Pakistani players due to security concerns.
